Despite the apparent paucity of our ancestors' sacrifice G-d’s presence manifested itself in the desert. This is because the size of a sacrifice is less important than its sincerity.

In medieval Europe a rabbi was appointed senior adviser at the royal court. During the ratification proceedings the rabbi was asked to disclose the records of his holdings. The rabbi, a wealthy man, produced a list and hand delivered it to the king.
Howeverm when the ministers ran a background check they discovered that many of his properties were not listed. Why did the rabbi not list those properties? more »

As I sat down for dinner, the telephone rang and I found myself responding to the third telemarketer of the evening. These calls came after a day spent digging through unsolicited e-mail from countless businesses and organizations.
